Senior Executive – SQS (Quality & Safety)

About the role
Bacardi is seeking a Senior Executive to lead its SQS (Safety, Quality & Standards) function at the Goa site. The role combines laboratory quality control, microbiological testing, equipment calibration, and production blending responsibilities to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC testing on raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods; report findings to the Unit Head.
- Conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products and communicate results.
- Oversee online QC during line start‑up and change‑over from water treatment to final packaging.
- Calibrate and maintain all laboratory equipment according to supplier manuals and calibration plans.
- Implement SPC/SQC and quality index programs across the site.
- Analyse customer/consumer complaints, generate reports, and lead corrective actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with vendors on non‑conformities, issue CARs, and ensure statutory food law compliance.
- Support new product development by liaising with the NPD department and transferring knowledge.
- Drive EHS initiatives, conduct monthly meetings, manage KPIs, and compile accident MIS with root‑cause analysis.
- Execute spirit blending operations, calculate ratios, weigh ingredients accurately, and prevent cross‑contamination.
- Plan and order wet materials, receive bulk alcohol, verify transfers, and inspect tanks for safety compliance.
- Prepare various operational reports (receiving, blending, tank, water, QC, inspection).
- Perform monthly inventory counts of ENA, GNS, MRS and processing materials, recommending reorder quantities.
- Conduct periodic inspections of blending equipment.
Required profile
- Proven experience in food‑grade quality assurance and safety within a production environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret laboratory and production data.
- Leadership agility – capable of fostering a culture of belonging, self‑awareness and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, vendors and regulatory bodies.
