Senior Executive – Payments & Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its payments portfolio into QR code acquiring. The Senior Executive – Payments & Merchant Acquiring will build the business from the ground up in the assigned territory, assemble and lead a field sales team, and oversee the end‑to‑end QR deployment, transaction processing and gross merchandise value growth.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate a Field Operations Sales (FOS) team.
• Drive merchant acquisition and QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop distribution channels and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage through effective FOS mapping and channel management.
• Track sales performance, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation metrics.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (or graduate with 3‑6 years).
• Prior exposure to payments, QR acquiring, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage merchant relationships directly.
• High energy, self‑starter attitude and willingness to work in the field.
