Senior Executive – Asset Inventory & Stock Management

About the role

We are looking for a self‑driven, highly motivated, and detail‑oriented Senior Executive – Asset Inventory & Stock Management to oversee the company’s asset inventory and stock operations. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records, ensure effective asset tracking, conduct periodic audits, and strengthen inventory controls to minimize losses and optimise stock availability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company’s fixed‑asset register, inventory records, and supporting documents.
• Monitor stock movement—including receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and adjustments—and ensure timely reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate inventory data in ERP/software systems and physical registers with clear audit trails.
• Plan and conduct periodic physical stock verification and asset audits across locations.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, finance, and operations teams on stock planning, replenishment, and asset movements.
• Maintain documentation for asset acquisition, tagging, capitalization, transfer, disposal, and write‑off processes.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory, variance, ageing, and asset‑utilisation reports for management.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and applicable inventory‑management procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase record accuracy, traceability, and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in inventory, asset management, warehouse operations, or stock control.
• Working knowledge of inventory management principles, stock reconciliation, physical verification, and variance analysis.
• Experience using ERP or inventory systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reports, pivot tables, reconciliations, and data analysis.

Required skills

• Experience with barcode, RFID, or asset‑tagging systems.
• Exposure to multi‑location inventory and project‑based stock environments.
• Knowledge of fixed‑asset accounting concepts, capitalization, depreciation support, and disposal documentation.
• Familiarity with internal audit, ISO/process controls, or cycle‑count programs.
• Ability to create simple dashboards and management reports using Excel or BI tools.
