Senior Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our platform team at NationsBenefits. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining core back‑end services and cloud‑native infrastructure that power internal insurance benefit platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and optimization of scalable, reliable platform services using .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server and Azure.
• Drive migration of legacy systems to micro‑services and cloud‑native architectures, ensuring smooth data migration and integration.
• Implement performance monitoring, real‑time analytics, security controls and disaster‑recovery plans to meet HIPAA and PCI‑DSS compliance.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices to enable rapid, reliable releases.
• Mentor and grow a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
• Collaborate with product, operations and senior leadership to align platform initiatives with business goals.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead distributed engineering teams and drive technical decisions in ambiguous environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills across global locations.
• Experience delivering secure, compliant platforms in regulated industries such as insurance.
