Senior Engineer – SMT Maintenance (Electronics Manufacturing)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer (or Engineer) to join our SMT Maintenance team at Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (RBAI) in Bengaluru. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of surface‑mount technology (SMT) equipment used in the production of automotive electronic modules.

Key responsibilities

• Program, calibrate, and maintain SMT machines such as SPP, De‑stacker, DMC, pick‑and‑place, reflow, SPI, AOI, ICT and BHS.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues on the SMT line to minimise downtime.
• Support process improvements and ensure compliance with Bosch Production System (BPS) and Industry 4.0 standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve production challenges and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma with 4‑8 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, or BE with 2‑6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of SMT processes and line operations.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and maintain good cooperation with other functions.

Required skills

• SMT machines programming and troubleshooting.
• Electrical, mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• SMT process knowledge.
• Familiarity with equipment: SPP, De‑stacker, DMC, pick‑and‑place, reflow, SPI, AOI, ICT, BHS.
