Senior Engineer – Public Health Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer specialized in Public Health Engineering to lead the design, implementation, and management of plumbing systems across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The role involves overseeing projects from concept through completion while ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and develop detailed plumbing system designs, addressing water supply, drainage, and sewage disposal.
• Manage public health engineering (PHE) systems throughout project lifecycles, delivering on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to provide compliant plumbing solutions.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials and labour.
• Produce and review design reports, calculations, technical specifications, and drawings in line with local and national codes.
• Stay informed on industry trends and recommend innovative plumbing solutions.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure system integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues during and after construction.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• B‑Tech degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Plumbing Engineer in the construction industry with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from conception to delivery.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience using specialized plumbing design tools.
