Senior Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is seeking a Senior Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant operation of plant electrical and mechanical systems. The role involves executing preventive, predictive and shutdown maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns and supporting automation systems to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential hazards during critical maintenance activities and coordinate safety requirements through work permits, LOTO procedures and JSA reviews.
• Plan, schedule and monitor predictive, preventive and shutdown maintenance tasks while maintaining good housekeeping in utility areas.
• Ensure availability of critical spares, manage spares inventory and minimise consumption.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns and support automation and control systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors and lead qualification and validation efforts for equipment and control systems.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within an industrial plant.
• Strong knowledge of safety norms, work‑permit processes, LOTO and JSA procedures.
• Proven ability to plan and execute predictive, preventive and shutdown maintenance programmes.
• Experience managing spare parts inventory and vendor relationships.
