Senior Digital Engineer

About the role

Sonata Software is looking for a Senior Digital Engineer to lead .NET development initiatives across its Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai locations. The role combines hands‑on coding, architectural design and mentorship within an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse client requirements, translating them into detailed technical specifications.
• Lead development using .NET Core, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, Web API and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Design and optimise complex SQL Server databases, write stored procedures and tune queries.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines with SSIS.
• Implement UI/UX components using jQuery, Bootstrap and Kendo UI.
• Participate in all Scrum ceremonies and estimate user stories.
• Manage code deployments across development, staging and production environments.
• Provide production support, monitor system health and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in .NET development (C#.NET Core, MVC, Web API).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on Agile teamwork.
