Senior DevOps Engineer – Plant Maintenance & Engineering Solutions

About the role

Join BASF Digital Hub Hyderabad as a Senior DevOps Engineer focused on Plant Maintenance and Engineering Project Solutions. You will act as a techno‑functional bridge between maintenance business needs and SAP S/4HANA EAM, delivering innovative digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and enhance end‑to‑end EAM processes in line with SAP standards, including the 9‑phase maintenance model and capacity‑oriented planning.
• Define and implement Fiori‑first, role‑based user experiences for planners, supervisors, and technicians using standard SAP Fiori apps and targeted extensions.
• Contribute to the integration of SAP Field Service Management for mobile execution, dispatching, and technician enablement.
• Support SAP Asset Performance Management use cases such as condition‑based and predictive maintenance.
• Lead requirements engineering workshops, process analysis, and gap identification, translating business needs into SAP‑standard solution concepts (including RICEFW and integration scenarios).
• Collaborate with ABAP, Fiori/UI5, integration, and DevOps teams to ensure end‑to‑end delivery, testing, deployment, and 2nd/3rd‑level support.

Required profile

• University degree in IT, Engineering, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA EAM, including SAP customizing and integration with MM, FI/CO, and PS.
• Strong functional knowledge of maintenance and asset management processes in SAP.
• Proven experience with SAP Fiori apps and role‑based UX concepts.
