Senior Designer

About the role

IBM Software is looking for a Senior Designer to shape the user experience of its AI‑powered, cloud‑native enterprise products. You will champion user‑centric design, turning complex technical requirements into intuitive, delightful experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end design process from discovery through general availability release.
• Develop deep domain expertise in enterprise IT and security products, understanding customer workflows and Jobs‑to‑Be‑Done.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define priorities, shape roadmaps, and guide product innovation.
• Translate research insights into wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, and development‑ready specifications.
• Plan and execute generative and evaluative research, including interviews, usability testing, and analytics review.
• Partner with engineering on feasibility, responsiveness, accessibility, and implementation details.
• Contribute to and leverage the Carbon Design System to ensure design consistency.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferred) with 3–8 years of experience designing complex user interfaces for enterprise‑grade applications.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating the full UX process: discovery, ideation, prototyping, testing, and delivery.
• Proven experience leading user research studies and turning insights into actionable product decisions.
• Ability to work iteratively in a fast‑paced, globally distributed, agile environment.
