Trainee Design Engineer – Graphics (Entry Level)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic trainees to join our Graphics Engineering team in Pune. You will assist in creating and refining product designs while learning industry best practices and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D drawings in line with client specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare, review, and update fabrication and shop drawings ensuring dimensional accuracy.
• Perform design calculations, tolerance checks, and material selection based on engineering standards.
• Apply GD&T and drafting standards to all deliverables.
• Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless project execution.
• Support prototype evaluation, testing feedback, and design improvements.
• Maintain project documentation, revision control, and risk logs.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0‑1 years of relevant experience or strong academic background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and able to work both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to generate accurate 2D/3D drawings.
• Basic design calculation and tolerance analysis skills.
