Senior Data Analyst

About the role

Elsevier is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to independently drive complex analytical projects. You will collaborate with product owners and cross‑functional stakeholders to turn large data sets into actionable insights that improve our data products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver advanced analytics using Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, Python and related tools.
• Analyse large, complex datasets to generate insights, recommendations, and data‑driven strategies.
• Assess data and product quality, identifying gaps and proposing enhancements.
• Support the continuous improvement and scaling of data products.
• Work closely with product owners, engineers, and business teams to align analytical outcomes with business goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, analytics or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in SQL and handling large, complex data sets.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• Familiarity with regular expressions or other string‑manipulation techniques.
