Senior Counter Staff – Retail Operations

About the role

The Senior Counter Staff is the first point of contact for walk‑in customers at Blue Dart retail counters, delivering professional, efficient and customer‑centric service. Reporting to the Branch Operations Head, the role ensures accurate shipment processing, payment handling and promotes appropriate logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome walk‑in customers, understand their shipment needs and recommend suitable Blue Dart products.
• Accept, process and book domestic and international shipments, ensuring correct documentation, labeling and data entry.
• Handle cash, card and digital payments, generate receipts and reconcile daily transactions.
• Promote value‑added services and packaging solutions to maximise retail revenue.
• Maintain a clean, organized counter, manage inventory of stationery and packaging materials.
• Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to resolve shipment queries and support peak‑hour traffic.

Required profile

• Higher secondary education or equivalent.
• Prior experience in retail counter or logistics operations, preferably in a courier environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to process transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and customer‑service orientation.
