Senior Consulting Engineer – Support Services

About the role

We are expanding our Support Services team at ClickHouse and are looking for a Senior Consulting Engineer to provide consultative support to enterprise customers. The role blends hands‑on engineering, development assistance and high‑tier support across consultative support, engineering and support functions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a team member on customer projects, handling design, architecture, integration, implementation and documentation, including research, benchmarking, performance testing and migration.
• Provide case‑initiated consultative support to strategic users, assisting with implementation, onboarding, production launches and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Handle L1‑L3 support cases and communications when not assigned to larger projects.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering and Sales to influence product roadmap and account plans.
• Develop public and internal documentation, knowledge‑base articles, reference architectures, blogs and benchmark results.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in professional services, support, technical account management, engineering/SRE or project management.
• 5+ years of experience implementing, operating or supporting scalable, fault‑tolerant distributed DBMS.
• Proven ability to lead and ship large‑scope technical projects with multiple engineers.
• Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) and its IaaS offerings.
