Senior Connected Car Cloud Architect

About the role

Tata Motors is seeking a Senior Connected Car Cloud Architect to design, develop, validate and deploy cloud‑based solutions for connected‑car use cases. The role bridges automotive engineering and cloud platforms, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable architectures that meet the company’s technical policy and roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement logical cloud architecture for connected‑car functional use cases.
• Define design standards, carry‑over strategies, and ensure alignment with project quality criteria.
• Resolve critical issues, manage deviation approvals, and support supplier technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet functional, cost, weight, timing and quality targets.
• Validate connected‑car systems throughout the automotive validation cycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or related discipline.
• 3‑6 years of experience in automotive systems, cloud platforms, and connected‑car solutions.
• Familiarity with V‑cycle development, requirement and configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS).
• Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Enterprise Architect.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS) and system‑level FMEA.

Required skills

• Azure and AWS cloud services and architecture design.
• IoT device integration (health bands, smart glasses, biometric sensors).
• Connectivity technologies: Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, USB, Bluetooth (BT & BLE), GPS, GSM, 3‑axis accelerometer.
• Cyber‑security standards covering device, protocol, cloud and application security.
• Data‑privacy and protection strategies for various data types.
• Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS).
• Requirement management tools such as DOORS.
• Simulation tools: MATLAB, Simulink, Enterprise Architect.
