Software Engineering Specialist - JAVA

About the role

As a Java Developer in the ENOVIA R&D team in India, you will design, develop and maintain server‑side Java components that power Dassault Systèmes’ PLM solutions. The role operates within an AI‑augmented software development lifecycle, using coding assistants while ensuring rigorous quality and security.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop and maintain reliable, scalable Java modules and backend services.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) for development, code reviews and test case generation, while validating output.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into implementations.
• Debug and resolve production issues, working directly with customers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hiring and team‑building activities.

Required profile

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related discipline with a strong academic record.
• 2–4 years of professional experience designing and delivering complex Java software products.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, analytical thinking and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Core Java (Java 11 or later), Java/J2EE, JMS, message brokers.
• RESTful API design and client‑server architecture.
• Data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented design, design patterns.
• Debugging, root‑cause analysis, basic SQL querying.
• Familiarity with DevOps and cloud technologies.
• Experience using AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) and reviewing AI‑generated code.
