Senior Backend Engineer – Golang

About the role

Endor Labs is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build core backend features for its SaaS security platform. You will work closely with product management and a distributed engineering team to deliver scalable, reliable services that help customers identify and fix critical software risks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end backend features for SaaS products, collaborating with product and engineering teams.
• Contribute to large‑scale technical projects, ensuring system scalability, reliability and performance.
• Participate in architectural discussions and drive sound technical decisions for long‑term code health.
• Write clean, well‑documented, testable code that serves as a reference for engineering best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback and maintain high code quality across the team.
• Apply observability best practices to guarantee product reliability and availability.
• Engage with external technical forums, conferences and open‑source communities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field with 5+ years building scalable backends for product/SaaS companies.
• Minimum 2 years of Golang experience focused on microservices or distributed architectures.
• Hands‑on experience designing APIs, preferably with gRPC.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as load balancing, horizontal/vertical scaling and stateless design.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive documentation.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment with evolving requirements.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
• Experience with Java or JVM‑based technologies (e.g., Spring Boot, Gradle, Maven) is a plus.
