Senior Auditor – Finance Control & Support Functions

About the role

The Senior Auditor will provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of the bank’s finance and procurement functions. Based in Mumbai, you will lead end‑to‑end audits, evaluate risk management frameworks and ensure compliance with RBI regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report comprehensive internal audits of Finance and Procurement functions, from risk assessment to final recommendations.
• Audit inter‑branch and inter‑bank account reconciliations, highlighting long‑outstanding entries that could pose financial risk.
• Evaluate the adequacy of the bank’s Risk Management Framework and review periodic RBI returns (CRR/SLR calculations).
• Verify adherence to regulatory requirements, including RBI regulations and Tranche I‑III guidelines.
• Scrutinise suspense and transit accounts for long‑outstanding items and identify control gaps.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Business, Finance, IT, Risk and Compliance, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Prepare high‑quality audit reports for the Audit Committee and Executive Management and track remediation of findings.
• Leverage data‑analytics tools (IDEA, ACL, Power BI) to perform continuous auditing and detect anomalous trends.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 10+ years of internal audit experience within the banking sector.
• Deep knowledge of banking regulations and accounting standards.
• Strong analytical, communication and report‑writing abilities.
