Senior Associate - Real Estate

About the role

King Stubb & Kasiva (KSK), a full-service law firm in India with offices in several cities, is hiring a Senior Associate for its Real Estate practice in Hyderabad. The role advises clients on real estate transactions, commercial leases and property-related regulatory issues. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate agreements and documents for acquisitions, disposals, leasing and development of real estate assets.
• Conduct legal due diligence, title verification and risk assessments, and prepare clear, commercially focused opinions and reports.
• Coordinate with clients, counterparties, government authorities and internal teams, and manage transaction timelines.
• Ensure compliance with applicable real estate and land laws.
• Mentor junior team members, contribute to knowledge management and support business development initiatives within the real estate practice.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a recognized university; additional specialization in real estate or commercial law is an advantage.
• Typically 5-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a law firm or corporate legal department focusing on real estate.
• Strong knowledge of Indian property, land and registration laws, particularly in Telangana and other major jurisdictions.

Required skills

• Expertise in real estate and commercial real estate advisory and transactional work.
• Experience with real estate transactions such as acquisitions, sales, leasing and joint development arrangements.
• Experience with leases, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating and interpreting commercial lease documentation.
• Familiarity with real estate development, including regulatory approvals, project structuring and documentation.
• Excellent legal drafting, contract negotiation and analytical skills, with attention to detail and commercial acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, lead transactions, supervise junior lawyers and work well in a team.
