Senior Application Engineer – Active Safety & NBS

About the role

Bosch Chassis Systems India Ltd is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to lead development and calibration of active safety systems such as ABS and ESP, as well as new braking technologies. The role involves vehicle testing, performance evaluation, and close collaboration with customers across ICE, HEV and EV platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle tests and performance evaluations for active safety algorithms.
• Develop, calibrate and validate control software for ABS, ESP, IPB, iB, DPB and related systems.
• Analyse customer requirements and ensure compliance with Bosch, legal and homologation standards.
• Perform summer and winter test sessions, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and manage data acquisition.
• Provide technical support to customers and interface with cross‑functional teams.
• Follow Bosch development and quality processes and support project acquisition activities.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate or postgraduate with 5‑9 years of automotive experience.
• Hands‑on experience in vehicle testing, brake system testing and dynamic vehicle evaluation.
• Knowledge of hydraulic brake systems, brake sizing calculations and tyre/suspension tuning.
• Familiarity with ICE, HEV and EV vehicle platforms.

Required skills

• ABS and ESP system knowledge, including homologation testing.
• Vehicle dynamics and brake system fundamentals.
• Programming in C, MATLAB and Simulink.
• Data acquisition tools (DAQ, VBOX, Vector, data loggers, sensors).
• Hands‑on experience with hydraulic brake components and brake sizing.
