Senior Analyst – VBA Automation (12‑month Contract)

About the role

Agoda’s Finance Operations Excellence team is looking for a senior analyst to design, develop and maintain VBA‑based automation solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy and control across finance processes. The role is a 12‑month contract based in India, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy automation tools using Advanced Excel, VBA, MS Access, SQL, Power Automate, FloQast and Power Apps.
• Partner with finance operations teams to translate high‑volume, control‑sensitive workflows (reconciliations, reporting, close activities) into reliable automated solutions.
• Build data models, query logic and exception‑handling routines, and optimise existing tools for performance and auditability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs and version histories to ensure sustainable support.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail in code structure, testing and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to gather requirements from finance users and support adoption.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years of automation development experience.
• Experience in finance operations environments is preferred.
