Senior Analyst I - Financial Crime (Kolkata)

About the role

AML RightSource is a technology-enabled managed services firm that helps banks, FinTech companies and money service businesses fight financial crime. As a Senior Analyst I in Kolkata, you advise clients on how to detect and investigate unusual financial activity, keeping them compliant with applicable laws and regulations. The role involves quality control of Associate Analysts' work, detailed monitoring of account activity, and KYC file reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Identify data anomalies and red flags for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and sanctions violations, and escalate for second-level review.
• Verify client identities and the purpose of their relationship with the financial institution for KYC procedures, escalating where appropriate.
• Perform quality control work as needed and supervise occasionally.
• Assist with client communication, analysis of production data and creation of client-specific aids and training.
• Help analysts with workflow and administrative tasks.
• Submit written work products for review by AML RightSource and client-led quality control teams, adjust them and apply the feedback.
• Meet deadlines and follow procedures, and comply with federal and state laws, regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of relevant AML/BSA experience.
• Strong oral communication skills and the ability to write clear summaries of recommendations and conclusions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred: professional certification, strong knowledge of banking regulations, and a collaborative, adaptable approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
