Senior Agentic AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to lead AI‑first engineering practices at Lumio. You will design and implement agentic workflows, build AI‑powered features, and scale backend systems for our smart TV and home‑entertainment ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the transition to AI‑first engineering across planning, development, testing, deployment and operations.
• Implement and optimize agentic AI practices using Claude Code and Cursor.
• Build internal AI agents and automation tools to boost engineering productivity.
• Create playbooks, templates and standards for AI‑native software development.
• Evaluate emerging AI models, tools and workflows for practical adoption.
• Design and deliver AI‑powered product features such as search, recommendations, personalization and content discovery.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend services, APIs and cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure AI‑assisted code meets reliability, security, observability and maintainability standards.
• Mentor engineers in AI‑assisted development and collaborate with leadership on AI strategy.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of production‑grade backend engineering experience.
• Strong product thinking with ability to connect AI capabilities to user outcomes.
• High ownership mindset and comfort thriving in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Experience driving engineering best practices and influencing technical teams.

Required skills

• Go and Python programming.
• Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
• AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Claude Code and Cursor for AI‑assisted development.
• Large language model APIs, function calling, tool use, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and evaluation.
• Backend systems, APIs, distributed systems, databases, caching, queues and observability.
