Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, ensure statutory compliance, and support financial reporting for a growing organization in Chennai.

Key responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger entries and perform bank reconciliations.
• Maintain books of accounts using Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS reports and supporting schedules.
• Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax filings and other statutory compliance activities.
• Perform vendor and customer reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Monitor receivables and payables to ensure smooth cash flow.
• Process journal entries, expense accounting and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, HR and Operations on finance‑related tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting (MBA Finance is a plus).
• 3–6 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and statutory compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Good written and verbal English; Tamil preferred.

What we offer

• Take‑home salary up to Rs.55,000 per month, based on experience and performance.
