Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate books of accounts, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Tally ERP, GST filings, and bank reconciliations within a dynamic finance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date ledgers, journals, and cash books.
• Record day‑to‑day financial transactions and perform bookkeeping duties.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements; conduct periodic bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounting entries and reporting using Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.
• Prepare and finalize balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Handle GST computations, return filing (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, etc.) and reconcile with GSTR‑2A/2B.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, following up on outstanding payments.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring, and financial analysis as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Prior experience in accounting, preferably within the mining sector or with international clients.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Ability to prepare and interpret balance sheets and other financial statements.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and independent work skills.

Required skills

• Tally ERP (including Tally ERP 9 and Tally Prime).
• GST filing and compliance, familiarity with GST portal and e‑invoicing/e‑way bill systems.
• Bank reconciliation and handling of bank statements.
• Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
