Senior Accountant – Internal Controls

About the role

Magnit is seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes across its global operations. The role combines detailed transaction analysis with the design of robust control frameworks, supporting both internal and external audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and evaluate workflows and internal controls, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Design, document, and implement process and control enhancements to boost efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
• Perform detailed account analyses, reconciliations, flux reviews, and transaction monitoring to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Support internal and external audit activities, preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Create and maintain internal control documentation such as control matrices, flow charts, narratives, and procedures.
• Assess control impacts of process changes, system updates, and new business initiatives.
• Monitor controls continuously and drive improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally and across regions to align processes and strengthen controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 4 + years of experience in accounting, internal controls, or audit functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
