Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Team Lead

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the preparation and review of financial statements, manage month‑end and year‑end closing cycles, and ensure compliance with accounting standards for our Mysore office.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate posting of journal entries.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including account reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify variances, analyze financial data and recommend improvements.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, reviewing their work.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address financial queries and support business planning.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, standards, tax regulations and audit support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications (CA, CMA, CPA) are a plus.
• Prior experience in a public accounting firm or corporate finance environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work both independently and within a team.
