Senior Accountant – Audit & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead audit and compliance assignments for a diverse portfolio of entities, including private limited companies, LLPs, and partnership firms. The role involves end‑to‑end finalisation of accounts, statutory and tax audits, and ensuring strict adherence to Indian accounting and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Finalise accounts and prepare Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statement, Notes to Accounts and related schedules.
• Draft and review Audit Reports, Tax Audit Reports, GST audit workings and other audit documentation.
• Independently manage statutory, tax and GST audits, ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards, Companies Act, Income Tax Act and GST laws.
• Review GST returns, TDS compliance, Income Tax filings, PF, ESI and Professional Tax submissions.
• Conduct ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, variance analysis and detailed review of books of accounts.
• Lead due‑diligence assignments, identify financial, tax and compliance gaps, and prepare observations.
• Coordinate with clients, resolve queries, and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality work.
• Guide, train and review the work of junior team members, monitoring execution timelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a CA or audit firm.
• Recent experience must be within a CA/audit firm.
• Proven ability to independently finalise books of accounts and prepare complete financial statements.
• Strong drafting skills for financial statements and audit reports.
• In‑depth knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESI and Professional Tax compliance.
• Demonstrated team‑leading, client‑coordination and ownership mindset.
