Senior Academic Leader – School of Management

About the role

Dayananda Sagar University is seeking an accomplished senior academic leader to shape the strategic direction of its School of Management. The role will drive academic excellence, research productivity, accreditation readiness, and strong industry engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and academic leadership, including curriculum design, program development, and quality assurance.
• Lead accreditation initiatives (NAAC, NBA, AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS) and ensure compliance with UGC/AICTE regulations.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain high‑quality faculty while fostering a robust research and publication culture.
• Build and deepen industry partnerships for placements, internships, executive education, and applied research.
• Enhance student outcomes such as admissions quality, placement performance, and overall experience.
• Represent the School in national and international academic forums, rankings, and collaborations.
• Manage budgets, resources, and administrative operations in coordination with university leadership.
• Champion innovative pedagogy, including case‑based, experiential, and technology‑enabled teaching.

Required profile

• PhD/Fellow from a Tier‑1 institute (IIM, ISB, XLRI, FMS, JBIMS, or equivalent).
• 15‑25+ years of combined academic and/or industry experience, with at least 5 years in a senior academic leadership role.
• Strong record of peer‑reviewed research publications and grant/consulting projects.
• Experience with accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, AACSB) preferred.
• Proven ability to build industry linkages and drive placement/executive‑education outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and institution‑building capabilities.
• Eligibility under UGC regulations for senior academic leader/professor appointments at a private university.
