Security Test Specialist (Automotive Cybersecurity)

About the role

We are looking for a Security Test Specialist to lead automotive cybersecurity validation for Bosch's ECU and vehicle platforms. You will design and execute test strategies that meet UN R155 and UN R156 standards, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run AUTOSAR BSW tests covering MCAL, ECU abstraction, OS, and services layers.
• Test communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay, UDS/DoIP) and perform diagnostics security testing.
• Automate test cases using Python, CAPL, CANoe, and CANalyzer.
• Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) and create security test scenarios.
• Conduct penetration testing on ECUs, CAN, Ethernet, and OTA interfaces.
• Validate secure communication (CAN, SOME/IP, DoIP, TLS) and secure boot/OTA mechanisms.
• Use security tools such as Wireshark, fuzzers, and penetration frameworks to enhance coverage.
• Document compliance evidence, test reports, and support OEM certification audits.
• Collaborate with BSW, ASW, and system teams to trace cybersecurity requirements from concept to execution.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Computer Science or related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in automotive software testing and cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR BSW, MCAL, and vehicle communication protocols.
• Proven ability to lead security test projects and mentor technical teams.
