Security Operator – L2 Cybersecurity SOC

About the role

Fujitsu is looking for a Security Operator (Level 2) to join its Security Operations Centre in Chennai. The role involves monitoring and protecting the company’s infrastructure, networks and endpoints against cyber threats, operating 24 × 7 in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms and perform event correlation to identify genuine incidents.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents across infrastructure, network, endpoint and data‑loss‑prevention layers.
• Escalate critical findings to senior analysts and contribute to incident reports for management.
• Maintain and tune detection rules, ensuring optimal coverage of the environment.
• Collaborate with cloud teams, especially on Azure, to secure cloud workloads.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of hands‑on experience in a Cybersecurity/SOC L2 environment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently.
• Willingness to work a mandatory 24 × 7 shift schedule and to be based at the SOC location.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to management.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with SIEM systems and security event correlation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure protection, network security, endpoint protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
