Security Officer – Hotel Security

About the role

The Security Officer will safeguard guests, staff and assets at the ibis Thane hotel. Working under the direction of the Director of Security, you will rotate through multiple security posts to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the duty roster and operate in assigned posts such as the control room, lobby, loading bay, patrolling areas, back‑of‑house zones and VIP parking.
• Monitor and maintain all security systems, taking immediate corrective action when faults arise.
• Assist management, employees and guests in line with protection and prevention objectives.
• Coordinate with internal departments and government agencies during routine operations and emergencies.
• Conduct regular checks of back‑of‑house areas, record incidents in log books and keep the crisis management team informed of developments.
• Perform inventory of keys, passes, walkie‑talkies and other accountable items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the security room and stay fully conversant with fire and life‑safety procedures.
• Attend briefings, meetings and training sessions; report for duty on time in a clean, complete uniform.

Required profile

• Secondary or high‑school education.
• At least 1 year of relevant security experience.
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• No criminal record and a professional, well‑presented appearance.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• First‑Aid certification.
• Basic fire‑fighting certification.
• Certificate from the National Skills Recognition System (or equivalent).
