Security Officer – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Security Officer will lead and coordinate the activities of Security Associates at Ibis Kochi, ensuring a safe environment for guests, staff, and assets. You will supervise shift schedules, monitor compliance with security and parking rules, and act as the primary source of information on security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, instruct and coordinate Security Associates across all shifts.
• Monitor attendance, ensure duties are assumed, and keep the Security Manager informed of incidents.
• Patrol assigned areas, check fire and security systems, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Enforce parking regulations and conduct employee frisking according to gender guidelines.
• Handle guest complaints, alert emergency services when needed, and maintain records of operational issues.
• Identify cost‑effective resource use and support financial management of the security department.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in hotel security operations.
• First Aid certification.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
• Excellent observation, attention to detail, and calm decision‑making under pressure.
• Professional interpersonal and communication abilities.
