Security Manager – WAF, SWG & Micro‑Segmentation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead EY’s enterprise‑wide Web Application Firewall (WAF), Secure Web Gateway (SWG) and Micro‑Segmentation (MSEG) programmes. The role combines platform ownership, team leadership and strategic security design across hybrid and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage WAF, SWG and Micro‑Segmentation security programmes across the enterprise.
• Own and govern platforms including Akamai Kona (WAF & DDoS), Netskope (SWG/SSE) and Illumio (Micro‑Segmentation).
• Design secure architecture aligned with Zero Trust and SASE/SSE principles.
• Develop, tune and optimise security policies to minimise risk and false positives.
• Act as escalation point for major security incidents involving web, internet or lateral‑movement threats.
• Manage and mentor security engineering teams, setting goals and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with SOC, cloud, network and application teams to improve overall security posture.
• Work with vendors, support audits and report security risks and metrics to leadership.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 3–5+ years in a managerial role.
• Hands‑on expertise with WAF (preferably Akamai Kona), Secure Web Gateway/SSE (preferably Netskope) and Micro‑Segmentation (preferably Illumio).
• Strong understanding of web application security, cloud security and Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience integrating security platforms with SOC/SIEM environments.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership abilities.
