Security Executive Trainee

About the role

The Security Executive‑Trainee will support the protection of people, property, material and information across a designated area. Working under a manager and alongside company officers and outsourced staff, you will receive on‑the‑job training to develop core security competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement access control for personnel, vehicles, materials and information.
• Monitor and verify incoming/outgoing traffic, logging material movements and ensuring proper gate‑pass authorisation.
• Conduct random inspections using metal detectors, mirror trolleys and other security gadgets.
• Maintain smooth, incident‑free traffic flow within company premises.
• Support asset protection for critical infrastructure and office assets.
• Ensure security operations follow established processes and handle deviations.
• Maintain and upkeep security infrastructure, gadgets and automation tools.
• Develop situational awareness and an internal/external security intelligence network.
• Deliver security awareness sessions and daily toolbox talks for employees and contract workers.

Required profile

• Graduate in any discipline.
• Holder of NCC "C" Certificate.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a team and follow managerial guidance.

Required skills

• Access control systems.
• Security monitoring equipment (metal detectors, mirror trolleys).
• Use of security gadgets and automation tools.
