Senior Security Engineer – IoT

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer specialized in IoT to lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of embedded firmware and operating systems. The role involves working closely with engineering and compliance teams to ensure robust security across our IoT products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system‑level VAPT for firmware, OS, and embedded software.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for secure boot, firmware updates, and patch validation.
• Perform static and dynamic firmware analysis using tools such as Ghidra, Binwalk, and Radare2.
• Validate secure boot implementations, hardware root of trust, and OS hardening configurations.
• Mentor junior engineers and share advanced security testing techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2–6 years of hands‑on experience in system security, embedded Linux, and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong leadership and technical writing skills for clear reporting.

Required skills

• Firmware analysis tools: Ghidra, Binwalk, Radare2.
• Embedded Linux platforms: Yocto, OpenWRT.
• Secure boot and firmware update testing.
• OS hardening and security configuration.
• Vulnerability assessment, CVE analysis, and CVSS scoring.
• Debugging/emulation: QEMU.
• SBOM, patch management, secure update protocols.
• Reverse engineering of firmware.
• Penetration testing frameworks: Metasploit, Kali Linux.
• Custom test case development and attack simulation.
