Security Consultant - Microsoft Cloud Security (Pre-Sales)

About the role

An experienced Security Consultant for Microsoft Cloud Security is sought for the Cloud and Cybersecurity practice. The consultant works on pre-sales consulting, solution design, technical demonstrations, Proof of Concept (PoC) execution and delivery support for enterprise customers, working closely with sales, business development, architects and delivery teams. The role is based in Coimbatore, India, with remote work possible; candidates must be willing to travel based on project and customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customers' business, security, compliance and technical requirements and recommend licensing strategies and solution architectures.
• Position Microsoft Security solutions with the sales and business development teams and run technical presentations, workshops and demonstrations.
• Design end-to-end Microsoft security solutions using Microsoft 365, Azure Security and Compliance technologies, and prepare proposals, Statements of Work, architecture documents and implementation plans.
• Lead PoCs with defined success criteria, timelines and deliverables, and present outcomes and roadmaps to customers.
• Support implementation teams, provide deployment guidance and help remote deployment resources.
• Keep up to date with Microsoft's security portfolio, licensing models and industry best practices.

Required profile

• 5-10 years of total IT / cybersecurity experience, with at least 2-3 years in Microsoft security.
• Customer-facing consulting, solution design, pre-sales or implementation experience; hands-on delivery of Microsoft security projects for enterprise customers preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain technical concepts to technical and business audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Hands-on expertise in at least three of: Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Cloud App Security, Purview, DLP, Insider Risk Management, Azure Security, Defender for Cloud, CSPM, IAM, threat detection.
• Good knowledge of Azure, AWS and Google Cloud, and of security frameworks, governance, risk and compliance.
• Preferred certifications: SC-100, SC-200, SC-400, SC-300, SC-900, AZ-500, AZ-305.
