Security Compliance and Assurance Manager

About the role

The Security Compliance and Assurance Manager will lead the implementation and monitoring of information security and data‑protection requirements for BASF Digital Hub Hyderabad. You will work closely with IT, legal, internal audit and external authorities to ensure the organization meets all regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess adherence to legal, regulatory and internal information‑security requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and execute internal and external audits, risk and compliance assessments.
• Provide consulting and awareness training to business units on security and compliance topics.
• Identify, assess and track information‑security risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Prepare compliance status reports and communicate findings to management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, data‑protection, legal, internal audit, external auditors and authorities.
• Assist in preparation and execution of certifications such as ISO 27001 and TISAX.
• Analyse security incidents, derive lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of processes.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, business informatics, engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in information security, compliance, audit or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and legal requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2).
• Analytical thinking and excellent communication skills.
