School Van Driver

About the role

The School Van Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from CS Academy campuses in Coimbatore. The role requires punctuality, adherence to traffic and safety regulations, and the ability to create a respectful environment for all passengers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the school van along assigned routes, picking up and dropping off students on time.
• Ensure student safety during boarding, travel, and alighting.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance.
• Report mechanical issues or accidents promptly to the appropriate authority.
• Keep accurate attendance records and trip logs.
• Enforce safety rules, including seat‑belt usage where applicable.
• Assist students with special needs or younger children during boarding and exiting.
• Cooperate with school authorities, parents, and other drivers.
• Attend scheduled training sessions or meetings as required.

Required profile

• Strong focus on safety and punctuality.
• Good communication skills with students, parents, and school staff.
• Ability to assist children with special needs.
• Willingness to perform vehicle inspections and basic upkeep.
• Readiness to attend training and follow school policies.

Required skills

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to conduct vehicle pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections.
