About the role
The School Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding students, staff, and campus facilities. This role ensures a safe learning environment by monitoring security systems, patrolling the grounds, and responding promptly to incidents.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV and other security systems across the campus.
- Conduct regular patrols of school grounds, buildings, and parking areas.
- Enforce safety policies, procedures, and access‑control protocols.
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, and daily activity records.
Required profile
- Previous experience in security, preferably within an educational setting.
- Relevant security certifications or licenses.
- Strong vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
