SAP QM & NCM Consultant (m/f/d)

About the role

Join the BASF Digital Hub in Hyderabad as an SAP QM & NCM Consultant. You will provide application support for SAP Manufacturing, Quality Management and Non‑Conformance Management processes, ensuring stable operations and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary SAP S/4HANA support contact for incidents and service requests, from triage to SLA‑compliant resolution.
• Receive, prioritize and document tickets with complete data, reproducing issues when needed.
• Troubleshoot end‑user problems such as logins, authorizations, data‑entry errors and printer/formatting issues.
• Investigate escalated issues, analyze configurations, logs and run diagnostic queries to identify root causes.
• Implement approved configuration changes in non‑production environments and prepare transport documentation for production changes.
• Execute routine operational tasks including password resets, user account creation and mass data updates under control.
• Coordinate with Basis, ABAP developers and integration teams (ALE/IDoc, RFC, CPI/PI) to resolve technical defects and performance issues.
• Maintain and update runbooks, knowledge‑base articles and SOPs based on resolved incidents.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to support staff and escalate to L3 or development when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, especially SAP QM and NCM modules.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Manufacturing, SAP PP and SAP PI‑QM processes.
• Familiarity with SAP Basis, ABAP development and integration technologies (ALE/IDoc, RFC, CPI/PI).
• Ability to handle incident tickets, perform root‑cause analysis and follow change‑management procedures.
