SAP Developer – Personnel Administration & Organizational Management (SAP HCM)

About the role

As an SAP Developer within the Personnel Administration and Organizational Management (PA & OM) team of BASF’s Digital Hub in Hyderabad, you will support and enhance SAP HCM solutions that underpin HR processes across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain PA infotypes, subtypes and related master data.
• Provide technical support for core PA processes such as hiring, transfers, organizational changes and terminations.
• Analyse and resolve data inconsistencies and error situations in PA and OM.
• Handle time‑dependent and historical HR master data.
• Maintain organizational structures, including org units, positions and jobs.
• Support reporting lines, managerial hierarchies and integration between PA and downstream HR processes.
• Develop ABAP reports, enhancements and interfaces for HR applications.
• Create and enhance HR reports using logical databases (PNP/PNPCE).
• Implement and analyse authority‑check logic in HR modules.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP HCM Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM).
• In‑depth knowledge of personnel master data structures, infotypes, subtypes and validity concepts.
• Understanding of organizational objects, relationships, plan versions and evaluation paths.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve HR data issues.
• Analytical mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional HR teams.
