Revenue Accountant

About the role

The Revenue Accountant will manage the end‑to‑end revenue cycle for our legal and professional services clients. This full‑time position ensures accurate client billing, revenue tracking, collections and accounts payable, supporting the financial health of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain client account records, verifying all required fields and contact information.
• Compile, analyze and process attorney fees and expenses, reviewing pre‑bills and making necessary corrections.
• Research narratives, rates and billing requirements; attach supporting documentation to expense charges.
• Submit electronic invoices, track their status, resolve rejections and manage residual balances through appeals or write‑offs.
• Generate ad‑hoc reports and respond to internal and external billing inquiries.
• Maintain billing software and eBilling platforms, ensuring compliance with client and firm guidelines.
• Coordinate with billing/collections teams, attorneys, secretaries and clients to resolve billing issues.
• Set up and maintain vendor sites for new matters, timekeepers and related entities.

Required profile

• Experience in accounting or revenue‑cycle functions, preferably within legal or professional services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify data accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with attorneys and staff.
• Willingness to work night‑shift hours (6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST).

Required skills

• Proficiency with billing software and eBilling platforms.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of revenue tracking, collections and accounts payable processes.
