Retina Surgeon (Ophthalmologist) – Ahmedabad

About the role

The Retina Surgeon will join a leading ophthalmology practice in Ahmedabad, focusing on the diagnosis and surgical management of vitreoretinal disorders. The role requires independent performance of a full range of retinal procedures and collaboration with a multidisciplinary eye care team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic testing for vitreoretinal conditions.
• Perform all types of retinal surgeries, including vitrectomy, retinal detachment repair, and macular procedures, independently.
• Manage medical retina cases, providing treatment for diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and age‑related macular degeneration.
• Diagnose and treat uveitic conditions affecting the posterior segment of the eye.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in vitreoretinal surgery.
• Proven ability to perform retinal surgeries independently.
• Strong knowledge of medical retina and uvea pathology.
• Excellent clinical judgment and patient‑centered communication skills.
