Retail Salesperson

About the role

The Retail Salesperson works full‑time on‑site at Dolphin Bakes 'N' Ice Creams in Mysore, greeting customers and helping them enjoy the bakery and ice‑cream offerings. You will be the front‑line ambassador, ensuring a pleasant in‑store experience while meeting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with product selection and provide recommendations.
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients and flavours.
• Handle cash and electronic payments, operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
• Prepare and serve baked goods and ice‑cream portions.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales area and restock display cases.
• Monitor product freshness and support basic inventory checks.
• Address customer concerns promptly and follow food‑safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations.

Required profile

• Strong retail sales and product‑knowledge abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Basic math and cash‑handling competence.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and follow hygiene guidelines.
• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in retail, food service or hospitality is beneficial.
• Proficiency in the local language and conversational English is an advantage.
