About the role

The Resident Clinical Services position at Aster RV Hospital involves examining patients, recording their medical histories in the electronic medical record (EMR), and participating in daily ward rounds under the guidance of senior clinicians.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients and record their history in the EMR in a safe, compassionate, and ethical manner.
• Request investigations and document results in the medical chart.
• Conduct daily ward rounds and note patient progress and health status.
• Follow management plans approved by the registrar or consultant in charge.
• Collaborate with the on‑call team to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Assist senior team members with invasive procedures.
• Handle common clinical scenarios and emergencies, including cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and communicate with senior staff.
• Liaise with the clinical services committee and participate in inter‑departmental meetings.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to quality indicators, infection control standards, and departmental protocols.
