Remote LLM Trainer – Agent Function Call

About the role

Turing is seeking a Remote LLM Trainer to help foundational large language model companies improve their assistants. You will create high‑quality multi‑turn conversations that showcase how an AI assistant can use function‑calling tools to accomplish real‑world tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑turn dialogues that simulate realistic interactions between users and AI assistants using tools such as calendar, email, maps, and drive.
• Play both the user and the assistant, inserting tool calls only when corrections or specific actions are required.
• Select appropriate moments for tool usage, ensuring logical flow and correct function‑call syntax.
• Craft conversations that demonstrate natural language, intelligent reasoning, and contextual awareness across several turns.
• Produce examples that show the assistant completing feasible tasks, recognizing infeasible ones, and maintaining engaging chat when no tools are needed.
• Follow strict formatting and quality guidelines outlined in an internal playbook.
• Iterate on examples based on reviewer feedback to improve realism and clarity.
• Collaborate with peers and reviewers to keep deliverables consistent and high‑quality.

Required profile

• Strong technical reasoning ability and experience modeling assistant behavior with tool‑based APIs.
• Capability to break down complex tasks and simulate realistic dialogues reflecting user expectations and assistant limits.
• Experience in any programming language; solid understanding of APIs and data formats such as JSON.
• Excellent written English communication with focus on clarity, tone, and instructional coherence.
