Remote Biology Analyst (Short-Term Contract)

About the role

This is a short‑term, task‑based contract for a Biology Analyst working remotely. You will collaborate with large language model (LLM) researchers to design and solve challenging biology problems that test the limits of current AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and solve biology problems that probe LLM limitations across undergraduate to PhD‑level topics.
• Develop high‑quality, step‑by‑step solutions with clear, rigorous reasoning.
• Work with LLM researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals, focusing on model weaknesses.
• Help define new evaluation benchmarks based on biology curricula.
• Analyze complex biological problems using structured, logical approaches.
• Explain biology concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, or simulations as needed.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations for AI evaluation workflows.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or currently pursuing a PhD/Postdoctoral degree.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Creative and lateral thinking capabilities.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently.
• Access to a desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection.
