Relationship Manager – Construction Finance (Pune)

About the role

The Relationship Manager will lead on‑ground sales for the Construction Finance division, building and nurturing relationships with real‑estate developers and promoters in Pune. The role focuses on expanding fee‑based income, cross‑selling financial products and ensuring robust risk‑managed lending.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the sales plan and identify new opportunities with developers and promoters.
• Leverage existing developer networks (e.g., AMC Real Estate, ABMM, Ultratech) to increase fee‑based income.
• Promote cross‑selling of group financial products such as home loans.
• Conduct market research to provide timely, accurate data for project viability decisions.
• Understand technical and financial aspects of construction projects and structure customized financing deals.
• Oversee initial risk‑management documentation and coordinate preliminary risk assessments.
• Work with risk and operations teams to evaluate and approve loan applications while maintaining service turn‑around times.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, manage account renewals, and ensure high satisfaction levels.
• Monitor compliance with internal risk parameters and external regulatory norms throughout the lending process.
• Track asset quality, delinquencies and project risk factors to mitigate potential losses.

Required profile

• Proven experience in relationship management within construction finance or real‑estate lending.
• Strong understanding of project finance, risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to analyse market trends and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with developers and internal stakeholders.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a track record of delivering high service standards.
