Registered Nurse – Outpatient Clinic

About the role

The Registered Nurse will deliver direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting, performing assessments, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and documenting clinical findings. The role supports physicians during examinations, educates patients and families, and ensures adherence to infection control and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, record vital signs, and administer prescribed medications.
• Prepare patients for consultations and procedures, and assist physicians during examinations.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly escalate concerns.
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic or paper‑based medical records.
• Support infection control practices, equipment safety, and overall clinic hygiene.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Current registration with the relevant nursing council and completion of an accredited nursing program (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and basic emergency response.
• Strong knowledge of standard nursing procedures, infection control, and patient safety protocols in an outpatient setting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for respectful interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to maintain accurate, timely documentation and use electronic or paper‑based medical records systems.
• Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple patients, and prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, adhere to clinic policies, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
